Romanian-built C-UAS decision layer SIDD declared operational for Danube Delta and Eastern border

Following the 12–13 May incident in the Danube Delta, INNO SOLUTIONS CORP S.R.L. confirms the operational availability of SIDD — a sovereign Counter-UAS decision platform engineered in Romania.

Following the 12–13 May 2026 incident in which a foreign-origin unmanned aerial vehicle impacted Romanian territory within the Danube Delta area, INNO SOLUTIONS CORP S.R.L., the Romanian engineering company behind SIDD, today confirms the operational availability of SIDD (Signal Intelligence Detection and Decision), a sovereign Counter-UAS decision platform designed, developed and maintained in Romania.

SIDD is a software-defined decision layer that fuses heterogeneous sensor inputs in real time and delivers an actionable classification and recommended response within operationally relevant timeframes. The platform is AI-augmented, deterministic in its escalation logic, and engineered to operate under degraded connectivity, contested spectrum and adversarial conditions consistent with the current operational picture along the eastern NATO border.

The platform is structured around four operational domains: aerial (live, deployed), maritime (in integration), ballistic threat correlation, and ground intrusion. SIDD is aligned with NATO interoperability standards and compatible with the EASA U-space airspace context for civil integration. It supports both military deployment under MoD authority and dual-use civil applications under ANCOM, MAI and border-security mandates.

"The Danube Delta incident is not an isolated event. It is a recurring operational reality on NATO's eastern flank, and it requires a sovereign decision capability — not another imported black box. SIDD is Romanian-built, Romanian-controlled, and ready to be integrated into the national C-UAS architecture today. We are not waiting for the next incident to start the conversation."

— Ana Maria Boureanu, Founder, SIDD

SIDD is developed by an independent Romanian engineering team, with intellectual property originated and registered in Romania. Patent applications are in advanced preparation for proprietary protection and resilience mechanisms. The platform will be presented at the BraveTechEU DefTech Forges programme in June 2026 — Estonia (3–7 June, UAS-focused track) and France (1–5 June, perimeter defence track) — co-organised by the European Commission and Ukrainian defence innovation partners.

About SIDD

SIDD (Signal Intelligence Detection and Decision) is a Counter-UAS decision and orchestration platform developed by INNO SOLUTIONS CORP S.R.L. in Romania. It provides multi-sensor fusion, threat classification, escalation logic and federated inter-node coordination across aerial, maritime, ballistic and ground domains. SIDD is offered in three operational tiers — GUARD, SENTINEL and AEGIS — for civil and military deployment. The platform is software-first, hardware-agnostic, and designed for sovereign operation within NATO and EU regulatory frameworks.
